How to delete your data

Service provider: Quarter Kitchen LLC
Last updated: 2026-10-14

You can delete your Kitchen Quarter account and data yourself at any time. This works the same however you signed up: with email, Google or Microsoft.

Delete your account

  1. Sign in to Kitchen Quarter.
  2. Go to Settings โ†’ Delete or deactivate your account.
  3. Choose "Delete account". If you have paid time left, choose "Delete when my paid time ends" or "Delete now". Type DELETE to confirm, and tap Delete. This works the same however you signed up.

As soon as you ask, your profile is hidden and your published recipes are credited to Echo Archive. If you chose "Delete when my paid time ends", you can keep using your account privately until then. When your deletion starts (right away, or on the day your paid time ends), you're signed out on every device, and your account is deleted 7 days later. We email you the date. Changed your mind? Sign in before that date and we'll email you a link to keep your account; your name goes back on your recipes. After that date, it's final.

Want a copy first? Go to Settings โ†’ Privacy โ†’ Download my data before you delete.

If you have a paid plan, it won't renew, so you won't be charged again. If you choose "Delete now", you give up the paid time you have left. You'll get any refund the law where you live gives you. Cancelling your plan on its own doesn't delete your account.

When you delete, you'll also see an optional box, unticked: "Remember me so I can reclaim my recipe credit if I return." If you tick it, we keep only a one-way code made from your email address (not the address itself) so you can reclaim credit for your recipes if you come back with the same email. You can ask us to delete that code at any time (see Terms of Service 9.1).

What gets deleted

On the deletion date, we erase your email address, name, profile and photo, the sign-in details we received from Google or Microsoft, your saved recipes, drafts, private recipes, saved allergies and diets, and other private items. Your comments, and any cook photos you posted on other people's recipes, are deleted. Backup copies are removed within 30 days after that.

What stays

Recipes you published publicly stay on Kitchen Quarter, credited to Echo Archive with your name removed. Delete any you don't want kept before you delete your account. We also keep a few records the law requires, with no recipes, photos or health details (see Privacy Policy 6.10).

Only want to delete your allergies and diets? Go to Settings โ†’ Health data โ†’ Delete my health data.

Can't sign in?

Tap "Can't sign in?" on the sign-in page and enter the email address on your account. We'll send a one-time code to that address; it works once, for up to 15 minutes. Enter it in the app to sign in, then delete your account the normal way (steps above). It's free.

Lost access to that email address too? Email support@kitchenquarter.app with "Delete my data" in the subject. We'll ask for at least two details that we can check against what we already hold, and at least one of them must be private: the last 4 digits of the card on your paid plan, or the date you signed up. The other can be, for example, the name of a recipe you published, but a recipe name never counts as the private detail, because anyone can see it. If they match, we delete your account the same way as above. This only deletes the account: we never move, recover or reopen an account this way, and we never send its data, or a copy of it, to the address you write from. If we can't confirm the account is yours, we won't delete it and we'll tell you why. We use the details you send only to confirm who you are, and then delete them. We reply within 45 days at the latest, and it's free.

Removing Kitchen Quarter from Google or Microsoft

Removing Kitchen Quarter in your Google or Microsoft settings stops you signing in that way, but doesn't delete your Kitchen Quarter account. To delete your data, follow the steps above.
